why is short term renting better than long term?

There are many benefits to renting your home out in the short term compared to the long term. For one, the decrease in overall occupancy results in drastically less wear and tear on your home. An occupancy rate of 33% on a short term rental (STR) should yield much more income than a long term rental that, if contract bound, is occupied 100% of the time. This means less wear on your appliances, furniture, plumbing, heating and overall home life expectancy while getting paid more!

Another advantage of using your secondary home as a STR is the ability for you to use your home for your own vacations. We can block off any days on the calendar so that you can use your home for your own personal use. If it were a long term rental, you could never vacation at your home unless there were no tenants which essentially means, no money.

Do you have local maintenance services?

We have maintenance/upkeep workers that we trust and prefer over other local companies. Our partners include cleaners, plumbers, snow removal services, garbage removal, pest removal, and handymen.


How do homeowners get paid?

You will receive the income your vacation home generates up to 15 days after months end. We will assess your overall revenue and expense reports and will send you the profitable difference. You will receive your reports via email so you know exactly how your home preformed! You can choose whichever payment method is most convenient for you include check or direct deposit.


Are there any binding contracts?

There are no binding contracts with Venture Rental Management. The only thing we do ask is that you give us at least 60 days notice before cancelling our service so that we can properly notify our services teams. Additionally you must also honor all future bookings that are already have already been booked for your home.


how do i schedule personal use at my vacation home?

One of the main benefits of renting your home short term vs long term is the ability to use your stay at your home whenever you please! All you need to do is send us a quick email or text with the dates you want to visit and within minutes those dates will be blocked for you. Additionally we also offer our cleaning services to tidy up after you leave.


What if my home needs repair?

With regular home usage comes minor necessary repairs and issues (plumbing, heating, etc). We will have a professional assess the situation and act accordingly. If the problem requires a repair in excess of $150 we will ask for your permission to be fixed, otherwise we take action especially if it is urgent (guests currently staying in the home). If there are any major home repairs that are a result of an aging home (roof repairs, new furnace, new boiler system) we will let you know and you can decide how you want to handle the situation.
